If you know where in the room this furniture will be placed it can make your shopping experience much easier. For instance, would it be placed in one corner, off to the side, or the center of the room? It makes a difference. Most of the time they are placed in the center of the room but not always.

It helps to know how many chairs will sit comfortably around it and not having a large enough table top is difficult enough if you have a large gathering of friends or family. It could make meal time even more uncomfortable if you are entertaining guests.
