It was a picture-perfect summer day in New York when I entered hairstylist Ted Gibson's salon in a nondescript building neighboring the iconic Flatiron Building.
While visiting friends in the city, I figured I'd catch up with Gibson, who lived in Austin from 1989 to 1991.
And seriously, what fashion writer doesn't want to meet the hair aficionado who charges $950 for time in his chair (yes, that's right: $950 a haircut), whose clients include Angelina Jolie, Debra Messing, Gabrielle Union and Anne Hathaway and whose hair and skin products are available at Target?
